In the fall, we celebrated and affirmed all those involved in ministry at St. James. These stewards give their time and their skills to the parish and the greater community.   Faithful stewardship is not just about giving money, it is also about giving of the other gifts we’ve been given.

At both the 8:00am and 10:15 Sunday services, we acknowledged those who participate in our ministries and committees.  For example, on September 10th we’ll began with  the Stewardship Committee and all of those who support Worship (acolytes, readers, ushers, altar guild, etc.)

September 10th: Stewardship Committee and Worship: Altar Guild, Acolytes, Ushers, Readers, Chalice Bearers and Offering Counters.

September 17th – Pastoral Care: Flower Ministry, Bread Ministry, Casseroles on Call, Lay Eucharistic Visitors; Outreach: Paul’s Place Cooks, Servers and Camp Helpers, Neighbor 2 Neighbor, Hereford Food Bank, Seafarers’ Center, The Ark.

September 24th – Art, Music and Education: Children’s and Adult Choirs, Friends of Music, Organists and Instrumentalists; Art Show Committee and Reception; Confirmation Teachers, Godly Play and Sunday School.

October 1st – Coffee Hour  and the Men’s Org; History Team, Buildings and Grounds and Cemetery Teams; Office Volunteers: Newsletter Collators, Bulletin Folders, Photo Directory Coordinators; Bulletin Board and Museum Window Creators, Photographers.

October 8th – Vestry and Search Committee

Friday, October 13th  – a celebration together with a light dinner and musical performances organized by the Music Director and the Friends of Music.  A wonderful slide show of our in-progess digital photo directory, and enjoyed the new friendships and relationships we’ve been building.
