The Outreach Community leads as we put our faith in practice to see Christ incarnate in the people of the world around us.

We support the Baltimore International Seafarers Center that provides services and on-board visits to the seafarers, primarily on the container ships, whose ships dock in Baltimore. We welcome director, The Rev. Mary H.T. Davisson, annually to accept ships filled with items for the seafarers.

Hereford Food Bank   Operated from Trinity United Methodist Church provides food, household and personal care items to local residents in need. The Food Bank serves over 80 local families. The parish collects supplies through out the year.

Paul’s Place Outreach Center   St. James has a long relationship with Paul’s Place.  A group of parishioners gather early on second Tuesdays to cook lunch that is delivered the

following day by a second group who serve lunch at Paul’s Place. We host a week-long day camp at St. James in July: art, music, hayride, reading time, water slide on Friday!  The Director of Volunteers preaches annually at the Middle School Chapel, and all financial offerings from the Academy chapels are given to Paul’s Place.

Neighbor-to-Neighbor a program operated from Church of the Epiphany, Timonium. St. James is a member of this coalition of faith-based and community partners working to prevent and end homelessness of families in Baltimore County.
